We all had a fun time with great club friends from our Section along with John and Harriet Kushnerick from Tulsa’s Eastern Oklahoma Section at the 9th Annual Ozark Euro Rally Saturday, August 26, 2023.
400+ Members from the Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, BMW, and Volkswagen clubs participated with stock autos, custom autos, special paint, and body treatments to even fuel injected vehicles at the Great Passion Play grounds. This event first started in Eureka Springs as a VW event and has evolved into an all-German extravaganza of brands and types. The event ended with a huge parade of several hundred Volkswagens across Eureka Springs streets. What a treat it was to see VW 1970 hippie buses, custom and souped-up VWs.
Even though it was a very hot day the clouds and breeze made our day pleasant. We enjoyed at our lunch stop some of the very best food in Eureka Springs at the Rockin Pig Saloon. You just must try out their master chef’s Wagyu steak burger, home made potato chips and ice-cold brews.
