The Ozark Section had a fabulous day with sixteen of us attending our Membership Recognition Event at Lake Fort Smith Park. This was an authentic Cajun shrimp and crawfish boil on Saturday, September 17, with recorded Cajun music. Our hosts John and Dottie Miller prepared peel-and-eat shrimp and crawfish with corn on the cob, new potatoes, and sausage that were among some of the best of Cajun specialties around. The trip there took us through the beautiful Boston Mountains and on some fun roads similar to the Pig Trail. This was a great day to spend time together enjoying friendships. We celebrated ten milestone club member anniversaries for 5, 10, 15 and 25 years with certificates and pins. Our members are so important for us to continue going forward successfully as a club. To keep our club meaningful, we continually strive to provide each of you a reason to support it, with special discounts, benefits and events that support your interests. 5 Years: Ryan Vincenzo, M.L. Scherz, Joel Bunch 10 Years: Robert Hiler, John Miller 15 Years: E. Porfirio Gutierrez, John Miller 25 years: Jacques Payne, Roger Shuler Barbara Lowinger, Vice-President/Event Chair gathered ideas for 2023 event adventures throughout our region of Arkansas. You can expect technical events, road rallies and memorable sites. We especially appreciate three of our members who worked hard to bring this event about. Thanks go to Teresa Poulseen, our Membership Chair, who prepared certificates, ordered anniversary pins, and reached out to each milestone anniversary member in advance inviting them to attend. John and Dottie Miller were amazing hosts and chefs who delivered an over-the-top event for us. Thank you for all that you did to make this event special for us all to enjoy.
