Even though many of us would consider ourselves very knowledgeable about their vehicles, we were lucky to have Roger Shuler who is such a great expert across Arkansas about Mercedes restorations and repairs give each of us some helpful takeaways. We had almost 40 members and guests attending. Some highlights of the topics covered included:

o Servicing classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
o Identifying fundamentals of a good vehicle purchase for restoration.
o Restoration versus just repairing issues.
o Steps to restore a classic vehicle included locating parts, specialty services required, ensuring quality workmanship with recommended service providers and managing costs.
o Hands on demonstration of restoring a headlight light lenses, servicing your vehicle with plug in diagnostics, polishing dull finishes and routine maintenance.
o
It was also a great time to recognize Roger Shuler as our Section’s Member of the Year for 2019. He has been such a great supporter of our club helping Mercedes owners understand the advantages of being a club member and we are also grateful for how Roger and his team take such exceptional care restoring and maintaining club vehicles.

It was great to meet Jeff Gunnoe who will be joining our club from Kansas City as well as several guests (possible future members).

Members and guests enjoyed socializing with a free pulled pork, pulled chicken, baked beans and potato salad from one of Northwest Arkansas’s best restaurants, Whole Hog Café.
